Attach the receiver to your camera's hot shoe, then connect the remote cord with the camera and receiver, you will have a wireless shutter release setup.  You can then control the shutter of your camera from up to 8 meters, wirelessly.  Different from other wireless shutter receivers, this one has two IR sensors, one at the front and one at the back.  This means that you can control the shutter from in front and from behind your camera too!

(3) IR remote Setup

You can use the transmitter as an IR remote too.  Simply switch on your camera's IR remote control function and you can control the shutter from up to a maximum of 10 meters away by infra-red technology.
