Great news to Sony Alpha and Minolta fans. The flash hot shoe adapter that Konica Minolta released to adapt flashes with Minolta-type hot shoe and cameras with standard ISO hot shoe (Minolta part number FS-1200) had gone out of the market, since the closing down of its camera division. And Sony did not offer similar solutions to its Alpha user. Gadget Infinity now presents this third-party adapter to owners of Minolta and Sony flashes.
This adapter connects Sony and Minolta flashes with Minolta-type hot shoe to standard ISO hot shoes of the camera. It also works with Cactus Wireless Flash Receiver V5 / V4 / V2s / V2. When using with the FS-1100 adapter on the camera side, Sony Alpha and Minolta fans can now enjoy the fun of wireless lighting with Cactus.
Please note that the adapter will NOT work with Sony and Minolta flash units that come with standard ISO hot shoes. Besides, the mating of camera and flash units from different systems will disable the TTL metering function.
