This is a lightweight cold shoe mount Light Panel using LED lights! Whether you shoot HD video on your camcorder or take shots on your DSLR, the LED light panel is your perfect companion in low light conditions.
To reproduce layers in traditional light sources, the panel of Amaran is specially designed so that the bulbs at the centre are slightly brighter than those at the margin. It gives more dramatic light than similar LED light panels in the market.
LED provides constant light source by consuming far less power than xenon light bulbs. Not only useful in video shooting, Amaran is also the best tool for portrait photography in fast shutter and large aperture. It is the best replacement of manual speedlight which cannot catch up with a shutter speed faster than the maximum x-sync speed of your camera.
On the back of the Amaran there is an adjustable dial allowing you to manually set the power output of the LED lights. Above the dial is a button that checks battery life via an indicator of 4 lamps, with 4 being fully charged and 1 being low on voltage / battery life. It can be powered by either a Sony NP-series camcorder battery or 6 AA batteries.
Included with the package are 2 colour filters, one in milky white and one in orange. What’s more to the Amaran is that it allows you to connect on 4 sides to other units to form a large LED Panel.
